I obtained my B.S. in Chemical Engineering (Petrochemistry) at University of Arak in Iran. After that, I went to France to continue my education in 2000. I earned a Master’s degree in Analytical & Material Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Chemistry (Catalysis) at University of Louis Pasteur in Strasbourg (France) in 2005. My thesis was financed by Total Company and the research subject was Fischer-Tropsch reaction (transformation the natural gas to oil). I worked one year as a postdoctoral researcher at Laboratory of LMSPC in France. The research was using a new catalyst to transform Methanol to Olefins. I came to the US in 2006. At the present, I am working at San Joaquin Refining Company as a chemical engineer in Bakersfield, California. I have been teaching as an adjunct instructor at BC since August 2007. This is my second experience in teaching (I taught chemistry and math at a high school in Iran for two years (1998-2000)). I have also been teaching chemistry at Mt. San Antonio College in Los Angeles since Aug. 2008. I am glad that I can participate in these challenging experiences.

Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM), X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Gas Chromatography (GC), Mass Spectrometry, Specific surface area measurement and porosimetry by N2 adsorption (BET), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Temperature Programmed Oxidation (TPO), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), and Spectroscopy (Spectronic 20).
