Term Paper info for Chemistry 2A  

You will be required to submit a short paper (at least 5 double spaced typed written material) that will be on a modern application of something we talk about in class related to chemistry.  The paper should be submitted electronically via email or some other external drive.  You will need to include outside material with at least 5 references other than the textbook.  Each student needs to cover a different subject.  You will need to sign up in advance, first come, first serve.  You should include your analysis or opinion on the subject including why you think it is important using such words as "I think..." or "I believe..." in the last paragraph.  Your opinion should be thoughtful and complete.  Remember when writing that a reference to material used is always required.  It should contain pictures, graphs or other illustrative material including properly referenced captions using such labels as fig. 1, fig.2 etc all centered with no extraneous spaces. The paper should look professional, like in textbooks or published papers, something someone may want to pay you money for.  A title page should include the title, your name, class, instructor, date and lab section.  It should be of high quality in appearance and content, something you would want to submit to an employer or potential employer.  MLA or APA format will be expected other than the above requirements.  Any plagiarism detected will result in a zero for the paper.  The grading criteria will be as follows:
