glyphwindow

Project Description

Create an display typeface of your own design. Generate the typeface so that can be used on a personal computer.

Method
Start out by looking at many type foundries (see references below). Take a look at the wide range of typefaces which are offered. Also look at the library of classical type designs which are available...

Process
Show me sketches! I want at many, many, many sketches of possible type designs by the mid-term. Make the sketches small, and work quickly.

After I have approved the sketches, you will move on to the computer. Use Adobe Illustrator to draw the font. I will demonstrate TypeTool, where you will put the characters to generate a final design.

Your typeface must contain these characters:

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNO

PQRSTUVWXYZ

1234567890

! , . ? ( ) = + _ -
