The Life-Fitness machines enable students to obtain a cardio workout using resistance in the arms and legs. Pulse rate is constantly monitored by the hand grips. The eliptical pattern of motion for the legs reduces joint stress to the knees and hips.

The Power Trainer enables a student in a wheelchair to benefit from a cardiovascular workout while increasing circulation to the legs and arms. Resistance may be set to meet individual needs. An exercise teacher assistant is nearby to give encouragement and assistance.

Our specialized equipment can easily adapt for an ambulatory student to perform at the Pec-Fly station on the  Para-Gym 1000. By simply removing the bench, a student in a wheelchair can easily exercise without the need to transfer.

The Arm-Pulley Station can be used to strengthen arms needed to propell a wheelchair. The shoulder deltoid and trapezius, as well as the bicep and tricep, are all exercised in one motion. Free weights give constant resistance and are also used to increase arm strength.
