Note: FIRE B1 can be waived for those who have completed a F/F 1 academy, and B2 waived for students who have a minimum of 2 years service as a paid, full-time firefighter.
SFM Cmd 1-A can be substituted for Fire B-3, and SFM Prevention 1-A & 1-B can be used to substitute for Fire B-5. A G.P.A. of at least 2.0 is required in the certificate program. Of the 32 units required, a minimum of 12 units must be completed at Bakersfield College. Before taking online fire tech. courses at other colleges be sure to get prior approval as not all classes are accepted at BC.
