The Kern Community College District (KCCD) and its three colleges, Bakersfield College, Cerro Coso Community College and Porterville College, now assign college student email addresses to all students. These student email accounts will be the primary email addresses that the colleges will use to communicate to students via email beginning on August 15, 2009. Beginning August 24, they will also be the email addresses I will use if I have to communicate with you individually or to a class as a whole. Student email accounts will be provided utilizing Google’s Gmail services, which are provided at no cost to KCCD. For additional information, including frequently asked questions and Google Gmail related tutorials, go to this page. .

Students in my spring 2009 classes can go to Turnitin.com to check the comments on their work; I will leave the sections open to access until early in the fall 2009 semester.
