SPEECH TOPIC CHOICES:

You will choose one topic for your first two speeches (the informative and persuasive speech) This will allow you to go into depth and detail about a single topic as well as be better able to apply specific persuasive techniques. Here are some basic requirements for topic choice.

1. It needs to be open so that there are multiple viewpoints. (See the Roper Opinion Poll page below)
2. It needs to be current
3. It needs to be easily researched. (We will discuss research and proper works cited page formats)
4. It needs to be interesting to you
