Student Educational Plans (ASEP and SEP)

To begin your educational plan, obtain your test scores from the Assessment Center. You will need your test scores to fill out the Abbreviated Student Educational Plan (ASEP)

Course Placement (Assessment scores) and Abbreviated SEP  writable online form (save to your computer to fill out), or use the blank form to print and fill out in pencil.

Once you have decided upon your goal, choose a general education pattern and a major Opens in New Tab/Window Icon offered at Bakersfield College, and/or use www.assist.org Opens in New Tab/Window Icon for transfer major prerequisites, to begin filling in the 2-page Comprehensive Student Educational Plan 1 & 2 (SEP) forms for BC, CSU or UC general education patterns to map your educational goals. You must obtain a copy of your course placement (assessment scores) to complete this form. Requirements from a few prior catalogs may be found on the "Forms" page.

The Course Placement and Comprehensive Student Educational Plan 1 & 2 (SEP) documents are writable forms when saved to your computer. Save the computer friendly PDF files to your computer and then fill out. Most browsers will not let you save the filled in form. Therefore, you may want to print a blank form and fill it in with pencil, not pen, to make changes easier.

Comprehensive SEP writable form PDF required (Your test scores or equivalent classes are required; includes Semester by semester plan)

A Semester by Semester plan is helpful to map out courses remaining to reach your goal. The form below is for your use only. The Comprehensive SEP 1 form includes a semester by semester plan, which must be completed on the form. Attaching the following form of the Semester by Semester plan for your use only will not be accepted.

Semester by Semester plan for your use only PDF required (Note: The new semester plan is included on the Comprehensive SEP1 and must be filled out on that form.)
