Transitions
CLIP From August 2005 to July 2006, CLIP members focused on the question "What can students learn about making successful transitions by attending professional conferences, visiting college campuses, surveying students, and studying college websites?" They met together frequently and explored issues related to the transitions students make from high school through college graduation.
CLIP members attended professional conferences and visited college and university campuses. They used college websites and catalogs to research issues of college admission and transfer. CLIP members surveyed students and teachers about important issues. They organized and presented preliminary results at three professional math conferences during the fall 2005 semester. They continued to meet, review, and study issues of transfer throughout the year. Findings were summarized, reviewed, and organized. Final products were designed and created to and help future students.
