Transitions CLIP
Research

CLIP members used surveys, informal interviews, and websites to gain information about making successful transition from community college to college.

CLIP members studied many aspects of the transfer issue.  Members surveyed each other, other students at the Delano Center, community college students at the main campus in Bakersfield and at Delano.  The asked questions of college students during campus visits in order to better understand the college going experience.  And, CLIP members collected data from teachers.  They collected information from BC teachers, from high school teachers in Delano, and from college teachers from around the country.
Often, questions would lead to new questions.  When possible, new questions were pursued.

Note:  The results of the research are written up as final products under the Products Label.  Unanswered questions that we find interesting may become part of the future CLIP work.  These issues are yet to be determined.  Please check under products to find the results of the research projects.  Or for student perspectives on having engaged in research on the websites, please check under appropriate buttons in the Products section.

Thank you!
