Chicago Style Bibliography

General formatting guidelines:

  • Sources should be listed in alphabetical order.

  • Page should be single-spaced with a blank line between each source.

  • Use a hanging indent (first line is normal, second line is indented).

  • Do not number your sources in a bibliography.

  • The title of the page should be: Bibliography (Not Works Cited).

  • Always italicize or underline book, journal, and newspaper titles. Choose one method (italics or underline) and be consistent. Don't use both in the same bibliography.
