The Chamber Singers is an elite group of vocalists led by Dr. Jen Garrett.
The Singers repertory encompasses a broad spectrum of musical styles: Medieval through Contemporary art music, world music, popular music, show music, and opera. The Chamber Singers performed music from 11 countries on their 2011 tour of Hawaii. Most recently the choir toured New York and performed at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Eric Whitacre.
Participation in this select choral group requires an audition and those who earn a position will be expected to come to rehearsals with assigned music already learned. The choir performs in two concerts each semester plus additional performances, including caroling in the fall semester.
This course is transferable to all UC, CSU and private colleges. Chamber Singers meets on Monday evenings from 6-10:10pm in Forum 102.
