Historical survey of the social, economic and political development of Latin America including the formation of pre-Colombian civilizations through establishment of the Spanish Colonial system to nation building of the modern era. Examines the impact of the United States foreign policy on the development of Latin America. Recommended: Eligibility for ENGL B1. Reading Level 5 or 6. Hours: 54 lect.
