Examines the effects of group behavior on the individual, including, but not limited to, the study of conformity, mass communication, propaganda, persuasion, attitude formation, and attitude change. Also discusses self-justification, pro-social behavior, aggression, prejudice, attraction, attribution, perception, motivation, and interpersonal relations. Includes the application of the scientific method and research strategies in social psychology. Recommended: SOCI B1 or PSYC B1a. Hours: 54 lect. CCS: Liberal Arts and Sciences.
