Below you will find a few samples of what I consider to be successful student posters from the ASL 1 "Deaf Culture Poster Project" assignment. Students choose a particular aspect of Deaf Culture and prepare a poster to share with their classmates. The posters should have multiple (2+) images, brief text cues (6x6) and be creative and colorful. Each semester, students learn a great deal about not only their topic choice, but about the topic choices of each of their classmates in this popular ASL 1 class project.
